Last Thursday in my city of Melrose, I went to my first farmer's market of the season. I picked up a fresh crêpe, some greens, and attended a live presentation on Mary Livermore, a Civil War nurse, suffragette, and anti-corset activist from Melrose. I love how you never know exactly what you'll encounter at the farmers market. If you live nearby, I suggest you come and check it out. If you're closer to Cambridge, go to any of these markets. Enjoy the fresh food and the surprises that await you!
