Collections From Compass

09/20/23  |  Ellie Botshon

Collections is a visual online space where you organize the homes you want to see.

Like Pinterest? Drool over Houzz? Then you’ve gotta use Collections.

One of the reasons we work with Compass is their elegant yet easy-to-use technology. The Compass apps are great, and the website is gorgeous and user-friendly. One of these apps is called Collections. Collections is a visual online space where you organize the homes you want to see and we get instant updates from each other, which streamlines the process.

How Will Collections Help You Find Your Perfect Home?

With so many listings out there and so many different ways to communicate, it’s not always easy to stay on the same page with your agent—or your spouse, parents, dog—whoever else will be involved in the process and can read (okay, maybe not the dog). Collections provides a way for us all to keep in touch and up to date during your house hunt.

Here’s how it works:

Sign in to your account on Compass.com. If you don’t already have an account, email us and we’ll get you set up immediately.

Click on your name in the top right corner of your screen, and then select “Your Collections” from the drop-down list of options.

There you’ll see your first collection, called “Saved Homes.”

Search Compass for listings, and save the ones that interest you by tapping on the star button, then add comments to let us know what you think and if you’d like to schedule a tour.

We'll select listings for your Collection, too, so we can find your perfect home together. Tap the “not interested” button on any listings you want to hide, so we can narrow down your search.

Some of the fabulous features of Collections:

Collections creates a board, à la Pinterest, filled with the homes that catch your eye. If you're buying, you’ll soon get a sense of what your “must-haves” are—and so will we. Share your collection with friends and family, to get input from the people you love (If you want that sort of thing.)

If you’re getting ready to sell, collect homes similar to yours. Then check out the details to learn how long they’re on the market and what they ultimately sell for.

Just curious about homes in your neighborhood? Collect homes near you to get a feel for your local market.

Let us know if you have any questions—we’re here to help.
